In Japan there is a saying that says, "If you fall 7 times, 8 times you will have to get up" (Nanakorobi Yaoki 七転び八起き), but I will want to fall and get up 8 times 9 times, this is the spirit of Kukishin Ryu, who says: - every time you fall nine demons will rise you again,

To know that patience comes first. To know that the path of mankind comes from justice. To renounce greed, laziness, and obstinacy. To recognize sadness, worry, and resentment as natural and to seek the immovable heart (fudoshin).

Shinobi  ( 忍 )  is a side-scrolling  action game  produced by  Sega  originally released for the  arcades  in  1987 . In  Shinobi , the player controls a modern-day  ninja  named  Joe Musashi  who has to stop a terrorist organization named Zeed who are kidnapping his students of his clan.  Shinobi  was later adapted by Sega to their  Master System  game console, followed by licensed conversions for other platforms such as the  Nintendo Entertainment System ,  PC Engine , and various home computers, as well as downloadable emulated versions of the original arcade game for the  Wii  and  Xbox 360 . The success of  Shinobi  inspired the development of various sequels and spin-offs of the  Shinobi  series .

1) Before Kissaki-moroha-zukuri blade appeared The oldest blade style of sword was hira-zukuri in Japan. Then, kiriha-zukuri blade appeared sometime later. They were all straight. Tachi with hira-zukuri blade (excavated from a grave 7th century) [1] Tachi blade of prince Shotoku (AD574 - 622), made in China [2] The signature on the blade says this is made by "Jiaolin" in the mouse year of Chinese zodiac (556 or 616AD). 2) Kissaki-moroha-zukuri blade appeared Some of the oldest kissaki-moroha-zukuri blades are found in the collection of the emperor Shomu (AD701 - 756). The collection has been kept in Shosoin at Todaiji temple in Nara. The collection has many swords in 8th century, and the condition is very good. Some of them are made in China, and some are made of the imported steel. Probably some are made of the steel produced in Japan. The social system in that age was a copy of China, and so was the swords.

***UPDATE on: THE HIDDEN LINEAGE – IN SEARCH OF THE HISTORY OF THE TOGAKURE RYU*** Many have been asking me when the Togakure Ryu history book that includes the information about Toda will be ready. Honestly, I am slightly behind schedule due to several long business trips with my day job but I still plan to be finished with the rewriting and editing by the end of May. So, if things go really well I may have copies at the end of May. But by the latest I should have everything ready in June. I am also opening a new website in conjunction with the book to promote the BKR Dojo’s new member’s only content. I will still always be writing and posting for free here on Facebook but this will be for my personal students and for those who want more in depth videos and articles along with the chance to earn rank in the BKR syllabus created by myself and approved by Hatsumi Soke and Noguchi Dai-Shihan in 2001. The ninja of Kumogakure Ryu went into combat wearing armored sleeves to protect themselves. Another interesting feature of the ryu was the Demon Mask, sometimes worn by members of the system. Kikaku-ken (Demon Horn Fist, or head butt) gives rise to another theory of the Demon Mask. One of the special weapons of the style is the kamayari, or hooked spear. Used in combat against swordsmen, the hooks were used to parry and trap the incoming blades.

Kumogakure Ryû, 雲隠れ流, “Hidden School”

Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Meifu Shinkage Ryu, Japón y actividades de nuestro dojo Bikenjutsu El estilo de esgrima que se practica en la Bujinkan se llama Bikenjutsu (秘 剣 術) o “técnica de espada secreta”. Es un sistema basado en las enseñanzas de Kukishin Ryu, Togakure Ryu y algunas otras escuelas. Bikenjutsu es aplicable no solo al tamaño normal de la katana japonesa (刀) y al wakizashi (脇 差), sino también a la espada larga de campo de batalla (長大 太 刀), al shinobigatana (忍 刀) y a las espadas dobles (二 刀).

This is simply because I did not want to know, however I do know that I was born in the 23rd year of Showa (1859). I am bewildered by the appearance of my face as it looks now but the reason for this is: I have not looked at myself in the mirror in some thirty years.
